Discovery & Review

The discovery process involves an inventory of financial, HR, corporate, and technical systems. 

Depending on how messy things are and how clean you want them, this process typically lasts about four weeks.

The result is a fully-reconciled set of books, as well as a collection, consolidation, and review of all operational documents and practices.

    Monthly Maintenance

    On a monthly basis, we maintain any solutions implemented during the discovery phase.

    Some solutions (e.g., legal compliance, up-to-date taxes, single point of contact, ACH-enabled banking, paperless statements) are required. Others may be only suggestions.

    Once things have been cleaned up, the majority of the upkeep includes full-charge bookkeeping and payroll, monthly reconciliations, and customized dashboard reports.

    Almost all work is done remotely, with timely communication via email, Slack, text, and/or phone. Typically, we're on-site twice a month to make sure things are running smoothly.

    At the end of the year, we file payroll forms, get out 1099s, and work with your accountant (or one of ours if you’d prefer) to finalize taxes - all less expensively because of the monthly maintenance you’ve invested in throughout the year.




    If you’d prefer, following the discovery phase we can design systems to be maintained by your employees if those employees have the skills and availability to do it.

    In this case, we suggest our coming in once a month to review the status of all implemented systems - especially financials.

    We can also arrange for employee training on all sorts of operational issues. We’ve found this to be particularly useful in rolling out GTD® and task management systems.
